Accommodations & Instructors & Safety

Campers will sleep in 4-6 person dome tents with 3-4 other campers at Camp Timberline or Camp Mokuleia. This gated camp brings campers close to nature, and although the accommodations are simple, the beauty of a Hawaiian sunrise and sunset combined with fresh air makes our camps an unforgettable experience.



Surf Camp Hawaii’s veteran Surf Instructors will be teaching and accompanying surfers on all surf expeditions.Our surf instructors are safety-minded experts certified by the Department of Land and Natural Resources Hawaii as Surf Instructors, are water-safety certified and are American Red Cross Life Guarding, Professional Rescue CPR and First Aid certified. Our surf instructors arent only certified, they are patient, kind and extremely personable!

Our instructors are Hawaii residents! They live a laid back and mellow life with the ocean always just footsteps away. Our surf instructors truly understand that surfing is not just standing on a boardit is a way of life that demands respect and awe. That is why ocean safety is a big element of our surfing lessons.



Surf Camp Hawaii puts safety above all else. Surf Camp Hawaii is part of theCamp Timberline division of Kamaaina Kids, Hawaiis premier youth and childcare provider. Camp Timberline and Kamaaina Kids are proud to be accredited by theAmerican Camp Association (ACA). Our membership number is 12853. This accreditation means that our camp exceeds the more than 240 stringent standards in the categories of health, safety, staffing, training, programming and transportation.
